Take the 10-minute survey En Español

Purpose:

The County of San Diego and all cities within the region actively promote fair housing and are conducting a study to find ways to improve equal housing opportunities for all County residents.

What is Fair Housing?

A condition in which individuals of similar income levels in the same housing market have a like range of choices available to them regardless of race, color, ancestry, national origin, religion, sex, disability, familial status, marital status, sexual orientation, source of income, or any other arbitrary factor. While income influences a person’s ability to access housing, the ability to afford decent and adequate housing is not a fair housing issue.

Why take the survey?

Information from this survey will go into the development of the San Diego Regional Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing Choice. This project is a joint effort of all San Diego County jurisdictions with the help of the Fair Housing Resource Board (FHRB). The FHRB administers the preparation of the report, which includes community demographics for all of San Diego County, analysis of impediments to fair housing choice, and strategies for removal of identified impediments.
